Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Jordan Med Academy (“Jordan Med Academy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit elmasoud.com, create an account, purchase or access a course, attend a live session, or communicate with us.
1. Who we are
Jordan Med Academy is an online education platform serving medical students in Jordan. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at mohabkhaled510@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, username, encrypted password, account role, and profile details.
- Course information: enrollments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, assignments, questions, certificates, attendance, and other learning activity.
- Purchase information: purchased courses, amounts, currency, order status, refunds, and transaction references. Payment-card credentials are processed by the selected payment provider and are not stored directly by Jordan Med Academy.
- Live-session information: meeting registration, attendance, scheduling information, and calendar details when Google Meet or Google Calendar features are used.
- Communications: support requests, form submissions, feedback, and messages exchanged through the platform.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, login events, cookies, session identifiers, error logs, and activity used to protect accounts and course content.
- Content-protection identifiers: course videos may display a moving watermark linked to the signed-in user, such as the user’s name, username, email, or another account identifier. We may record relevant playback and access events to investigate unauthorized sharing.
3. How we use information
We use personal data to provide and administer accounts, enrollments, course access, assessments, live classes, support, purchases, refunds, security, fraud prevention, content protection, service communications, platform analytics, and legal or accounting obligations. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to improve courses and platform performance.
4. Legal grounds and consent
We process information where it is necessary to provide the service you request, perform our agreement with you, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as platform security and intellectual-property protection, or where you have provided consent. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to applicable law and any processing already completed.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for login sessions, shopping-cart and checkout functions, security, preferences, and course progress. We may also use limited analytics or integration cookies. Disabling essential cookies may prevent account, checkout, or learning features from functioning.
6. When information is shared
We may share only the information reasonably required with service providers that support hosting, WordPress and Tutor LMS functionality, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, video delivery, and Google Meet or Calendar integrations. Tutors and authorized course coordinators may access learner information required to deliver courses, review work, answer questions, and manage attendance. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the platform, or as part of a lawful business reorganization.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy terms. Their processing may occur outside Jordan, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.
7. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for course delivery, account administration, transaction records, dispute handling, security, intellectual-property enforcement, and applicable legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain limited records after account closure where required for financial, legal, fraud-prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, account authentication, encrypted connections, software maintenance, logging, and course-content protections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to Jordanian law and applicable exceptions, you may request information about our processing of your personal data, access or obtain a copy of it, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or raise a complaint. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Send requests to mohabkhaled510@gmail.com.
10. Children
The platform is intended for university-level learners and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
11. External links and integrations
Courses may link to external resources or use third-party meeting, calendar, payment, or media services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties, and you should review their policies before using those services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform, our providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be posted on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.
13. Contact
